Deal with Headache Nausea     

Headache is one of the most common ailments affecting mankind and can be a real pain. In order to get to the bottom of a headache one needs to keep track of all the symptoms that accompany a single headache episode such as headache nausea, dizziness, vomiting, blurred vision, confusion, blacking out etc. Most often, nausea accompanied by headache indicates a migraine attack.

Headache nausea associated with migraine:

Migraine is the most severe headache known to man and tends to affect more women than men. Migraine pain is the result of the sudden contraction and swelling of the blood vessels located in the head. There are various causes that may trigger a migraine attack such as tension, stress, bright lights, hunger or delayed meals and the intake of certain foods and beverages such as chocolates, caffeine and alcohol.

A migraine attack usually begins with mild pain, vomiting and dizziness and then progresses on to a full blast headache. In a migraine headache the individual may also feel hot and fatigued on one side and a particular episode usually lasts for 15 to 30 minutes followed by a headache of high intensity.

Treating headache nausea:

Headache nausea can be treated by taking prescription drugs after having consulted your doctor. You can take the medicine during the onset of the headache and try to relax.

Cold compress: Apply cold compress to the head or splash cold water on your face to get relief fro the symptoms of nausea.

Yoga and meditation: These techniques focus on relaxing the mind and body and help relieve stress. Certain deep breathing exercises also help calm your nerves and help keep headache nausea at bay.
