Stress Management Techniques

Stress Management forms an important part of the technique to control stress and the problems arising out of it. As a first step, one should try to find out the reason behind the development of stress in a person. If you yourself are suffering from stress then the task becomes more complicated.

Nevertheless, make a separate diary in which you can note down your feelings whenever you feel stressed out. Try to give honest replies to the following question in your diary. Q1) what is the cause of stress at this moment? (If you are not sure then make a guess); Q2) How you felt at the time of stress? (Physical, mental or emotional Stress); Q3) How do you react at such changes? ; Q4) what have you done to come out of this situation?

Controlling Stress

There are two possible ways of controlling stress naturally. Either you change that particular situation or modify the way you react in that particular circumstance. There are four different methods of doing so. Try that method which is suitable to your personality. As per the first method, avoid those things which give you stress. Keep away from people who stress you out. If you get involved in an argument over some specific subject with a person then make an effort to leave the area immediately whenever such controversial topic arises for discussion and if possible then don’t start a conversation over such topics in a gathering. Do honest analysis of your responsibilities and the work completed in the given day. If the work is not that much important then ignore it.

In the second method, if you can’t avoid then change the method itself. If anything is troubling you psychologically then don’t overburden yourself from inside. Try to present your viewpoint in a proper manner otherwise your anger will get accumulated. Before changing other people, aim to change your attitude and behavior. Take defeat in a positive way as a road to motivation and further success. If there’s any trouble don’t run away from it instead face it confidently in order to solve it.

Third method requires you to change yourself. Change the way you look at the problem. For instance, if you got stuck in a traffic jam then instead of getting anxious, read any book or listen to your favourite music. Throw out negative words from your life. In the fourth method, leading a healthy lifestyle is also one of the natural techniques of managing stress. Do exercise at least for half an hour and eat nutritious food because a healthy mind and body can fight off stress easily. Take appropriate sleep and steer clear of alcohol, smoking and caffeine.
