Sex During Pregnancy
Sex is a very sensitive issue between couples during pregnancy. If you are having a normal pregnancy, than having sex during all stages of pregnancy is considered safe as long as you and your partner feel comfortable.
While some couple will feel blissful during pregnancy because of pleasurable sex but for others it may not be pleasurable at all because of reason like fatigue, awkwardness, nausea, fear of hurting the baby, etc.
You can always talk to your doctor and communicate with your partner about your fear. They can help you in overcoming your fear. By having sex you won’t hurt the baby at all as baby is protected by the thick mucus plug that seals the cervix that guard against infection. Along with this, the amniotic sac and the strong muscles of the uterus also protect your baby.
The rule for having enjoying sex during pregnancy is to fulfill your desires and communication with your partner. While some women may feel uncomfortable and fat, at the same time men may find your body erotic and desirable as they enjoy the change in your body.
During pregnancy, some women may feel increased sexual desire that may be due to increased blood flow to the pelvic area.
Make sure that you communicate with your partner about your feelings for sex. This will help you in leading an enjoyable and fulfilling sex life. If either of you don’t feel like having sex, than tell this to your partner and tell them what they can do to make you feel sexual like cuddling, romantic dinners, relax bath, etc.
During first trimester some women may not feel a desire to have sex because of morning sickness, fatigue, and nausea and breast tenderness.
During the second trimester they feel a sense of delight and increase in their desire to have sex, thus they resume a normal sex life.
During third trimester, some women may lose desire because of their size, while others had to just adjust, position wise because of growing belly.

At any time during pregnancy you can have oral sex but make sure your partner should not blow air into your vagina thus blocking the blood vessel by an air bubble which can prove dangerous for mother and child. You can go for masturbation also for releasing your sexual energy.
