Safety Tips for Girls During Dating
Dating is a pleasant and exciting event in anybody’s life. Dating is the first step towards formation of a romantic and loving relationship. Both men and women go out of their way to do their best to make the event a successful and memorable one.
While some dates are successful, some dates may end up as a painful and hurting experience. The hurt may be caused due to emotional incompatibility or due to deceit or ill intentions of the partner.
Safety is paramount for girls who go on a date. Whatever the excitement or thrill of the date, be careful not to compromise with your safety and well being.
Have some idea about the kind of person you are going to date. Some level of familiarity will be helpful. Draw an opinion about the person by your own observation or by talking to your friends who know him.
Doing a small background check (without his knowledge) will help you to secure your position.
If possible, inform a trusted friend or family member that you are going on a date. If you share a friendly and warm relationship with your parents, you can inform them about it.
A small introduction of the person to the parents by meeting will be helpful. You may ask the boy to pick you up from home, and then proceed on the date.
The experience and wisdom of parents help them to draw correct opinion about people. They may just advice you about the right approach to deal with the boy.
Never go to places that are remote and secluded. Though the need for privacy and space is understood, you may book a more private table in a restaurant, rather than going to lonely places.
Going to a theatre or disco also can be safe as the public presence is more.
Be alert about the drinks served. If you feel something odd about it, politely decline the offer to drink.
Take your own responsibility. Choose safe drinks (non-alcoholic), or do not drink more than what you can handle.
