Problem of Tuberculosis

Problem of tuberculosis is on rise these days across the entire globe. Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious malady that has effect on respiratory system of the person, especially lungs.

Nevertheless, TB can affect any part of the human body. It is often called consumption for the reason that this disease breaks the immunity of the body to the core and the affected person has to rebuild his or her immunity from the beginning.

Special type of bacteria known as mycobacterium tuberculosis is responsible for causing TB. Tuberculosis is communicable disease, its bacteria is transmitted by way of air inside the body of a person.  Only people who are already infected with it can spread this disease. This bacterium takes long time in multiplication and is not a one-time affair.

Sometimes, it happens that symptoms of TB are not visible for a longer period of time due to the nature of immunity of a person. Even a slight breach in the immunity activates the mycobacterium lying dormant inside the body of a person. Rapid weight loss, regular coughing stretching for several months, pain in chest and reduced appetite, puffing when make little movement are the most common symptoms of tuberculosis.

As soon as the disease makes progress, the affected person starts getting fever. Coughing is also accompanied by phlegm that might also show traces of blood in it in the advanced stage of TB. In the tuberculosis of lymph glands, severe inflammation develops on the neckline or inside the neck. Furthermore, as the disease makes further advances, symptoms will become more visible.

Though TB can be completely treated but it takes a lot of time and also requires lot of patience and dedication on the part of patient and his or her acquaintances. It has often been observed that many patients’ stops taking prescribed medicines once the initial symptoms of TB start disappearing. This practice is quite dangerous as the disease can easily make a comeback which will then become difficult to treat.

People must be aware of the fact that silicon particles expose a person towards tuberculosis for the reason that such particles interferes with the normal functioning of human respiratory system.

So, it is advisable to keep away the sources of silicon particles completely excluded from the areas frequented by people in your house. It is also extremely important to get the medical examination of those people who have been around the patient as tuberculosis can easily affect them.
