Negative Effects of Being a Working Parent

Being a parent is a great responsibility and more crucial is being a working parent. The working status of one parent or both of them assumes an important role in the upbringing of a child and developing his or her behavior. There is no doubt that parents love their children very much. They make a choice to work so that they can provide secure future to their kids, provide them with all kinds of facilities. However, buying them the costliest toy or any luxurious facility cannot fill the emotional void that can filled by parents only. Now-a-days, parents are so much overburdened by the increasing workload that they are hardly able to spend time with their children.

Result of communication gap on children

Sometimes parents complain that their children are not able to concentrate on their studies and whatever they learn tends to forget easily. For finding easy solution to this problem parents often try out different methods but they remain unconscious of the fact that they themselves are responsible for this condition of their child.

When a parent or in some cases both the parents are working are not able to give adequate time to the child, then it is quite possible that he or she will start living in depression which will be horribly dangerous for their psychological health. Going to school from home and vice-versa only can also effect the mental development , it is at this point of time children starts speaking lie to their so that they can roam outside their routine life outside the supervision of their parents.

What parents should do in this situation?

As a parent if you are not able to give proper attention to your kids then make an effort to take them for a weekend holiday so that your kid can share all the happenings that have taken place on all other days and does not feel lonely. Expose your kid to the outside world so that they can develop a bit of outside understanding.

If you are shielding your child from the outside world then you are doing absolutely wrong because then your kid will develop the habit of lying from you and might fall in the company of bad people.
