Losing Weight Safely

Weight loss can be achieved easily these days. However, weight loss methods could be faulty. Weight loss should not lead to downfall of health and energy. It should not make you feel exhausted, tired, inactive, dull and unhealthy. Weight loss should not be accompanied by a droopy appearance and loss of stamina.

The best way to lose weight safely is to not rush into a strict weight loss plan. Getting a perfect figure and losing your health and appearance is no good. It could have serious implications in the long run.

Firstly consider how much weight you need to lose. Weight loss may be necessary if you are dangerously obese, if your body mass causes difficulties in easy movements and physical discomfort.

Do not go in for short term drastic weight loss methods, like starving yourself, living on fruits and raw vegetables and water. Limiting the intake of essential vitamins and minerals will lead to many deficiency-induced ailments.

Rather, cut down on oily and fatty food. Do not eat burgers, pizzas, deep fried items, chips, wafers, french fries and other fast foods. Avoiding sweets like milk based sweets meats, chocolates, cream, cakes will also help you to lose weight.

Eat home made food so that you can regulate/restrict the amount of oil, butter, ghee added to prepare the meal.

Cutting on munching items or replacing them with healthier options can be of help. For example, use roasted or baked items than those made in oil, like popcorn.

You can also use low fat food like oatmeal, cereals, whole grain bread for breakfast or snacks. Drink plenty of liquids like water, coconut juice, or home made tomato/carrot/orange/watermelon juice. Choose fruits that do not have high level of natural sugar (avoid grapes, mangoes).

You may join a gym for weight loss, but maintain consistency in your exercising. Do not overexert, to achieve faster results.

Getting into sports like swimming, cycling, badminton, lawn tennis will also help in burning excess calories and losing weight.
