How to Take Out Time for Fitness
Fitness is not a one time activity. A person can be fit only if there is consistency in the fitness routine and practices in everyday life. There are various forms of activities that can make you fit. It can be through exercises, through a balanced nourishing diet, through mental relaxation techniques, by recreation and so on.
The balanced diet part of the fitness issue can be taken care of everyday by supplementing your breakfast, lunch and dinner with all kinds of vegetables, fruits, green leafy vegetables, conscious intake of minerals like iron, calcium, potassium, by intake of vitamins etc. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day will also help in boosting metabolism and maintaining body temperature.
The difficulty may arise for consistent practice of exercises, or gymming, or engaging in outdoor sports that also contribute to physical fitness, as many of us may just not find the time for it due to professional deadlines, household work etc. In addition, investing time for mental fitness through yoga or meditation can also be difficult.
Choose a time of the day which is exclusively yours. Morning is the time you can have for yourself. A time when none of the family members are awake, when there is still time for your children to wake up and get ready for school, a time when there won’t be sudden intrusion by neighbours or phone calls can be a good hour to do your fitness exercises.
Choosing evening time can be disadvantageous as sudden guests may appear, you may have to go to the market, may be burdened by household work etc and may not be able to concentrate on the exercises, maybe you will have to skip it on some days too. Rather use the morning hours of dawn that are exclusively yours.
You can do basic stretching exercises, exercises done lying down, push ups, yoga or meditation at this time or go for a brisk walk.
