How to Provide Emergency Medical Aid

The life of a person at that point of time lies solely on your awareness and capability till the time medical help arrives.

The primary life saving step that needs to be taken immediately at the occurrence of a medical emergency is that of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is applied in those cases where heart beat has stopped. You have to supply oxygen to the affected person so that it reaches his or her lungs immediately. On top of it, apply pressure on the chest so that oxygen can travel in the entire body. Till the help arrives, quickly administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation. If the face of the affected person is facing upwards then you have to roll the head in the backward direction through the tilting of chin in an upward direction. On the other hand, press on the brow to release the passage for air.

Wait patiently and remain aware about the symptoms of revival of breathing at least for 10 seconds. You are not seeing any signals of breathing then close up both the nostrils and provide couple of mouth to mouth breathing which must be complete as well as easy-going.  Also make sure that the position of the chest ascends. If the situation is returning back to normal then confirm that the person is showing some movement in the form of breathing or coughing. Continue to provide heart compression till the breathing is revived or paramedical help arrives.
