Home Based Exercises for Reducing Thigh Flab
Thighs disproportionate to the body size can make you look fat. Excess weight in the thighs can create pressure on the joints in the legs and can cause pain. You can also develop burning sensation due to rubbing of thighs.
Toned and trimmed thighs make movement easier and help you to carry yourself confidently. It also allows you to experiment with your clothing and carry yourself well in western outfits. Toned body and thighs create a positive image about yourself and generates confidence.
You can use several self-help tips to reduce your thighs. Stretching exercises can help you to tone down the thighs. Home based exercises and yoga postures also give similar result.
You can lie down on your back, placing your hands under the neck. Keeping one leg touched to the ground, raise the other leg to 45 degrees, hold it there for 5 counts and bring it back. Repeat the same with the other leg. You can do this exercise 20 times for each leg.
Lying in the same position, you can take your leg upto 90 degrees.
Another method is to lie in the same position and pull up both your legs together to 45 degrees, hold it there for 5 counts and bring it down together. While performing this exercise use the muscles in the thighs to pull up, so that the thighs get worked out.
You can also do cycling movements while lying down. Cycle in the forward as well as reverse direction.
Another method is to stand straight, and place your hands on a wall for support. Push your right leg outward to 45 degrees, hold it there for sometime and then bring it back. Repeat this 10 times. Then proceed with the left leg. Take care to see that you do not bend or tilt your body. This will reduce the benefit of this exercise. Exercise slowly for more impact.
