Exercises for Fitness
Exercises along with a controlled and balanced diet is essential for fitness. Following a daily routine of exercises helps in toning the body, preventing ailments caused by sedentary lifestyle and keeping the body fit.
Exercises also aid the digestion process and build stamina. It is helpful in beating stress too.
Early morning exercises are known to refresh the mind. It also begins the process of burning excessive calories. It improves the functioning of the heart and lungs by improving the intake of oxygen in the body.
You can pursue exercises in any form. It can be done outside, in the open or within the confines of your home by using proper equipments.
Walking is a simple exercise that people of all age groups can follow. It exercises the abdomen and lower body, and prevents stiffness or pain in the joints. Brisk walk everyday for atleast 30 minutes will help in weight loss.
Cycling is another exercise for toning the muscles and improving stamina. The lower part of the body gets exercised, and you lose excess abdomen flab and weight in thighs by cycling.
For overall fitness, swimming is the best exercises. It exercises all the parts of the body like the neck, the shoulders, abdomen, thighs etc. It helps you to get an evenly toned body as it works out all the parts of the body.
Besides physical fitness, water also has a therapeutic effect on the body and mind. It can beat stress, tension and create a calm and relaxed state of mind.
Exercises at the gym or stretching exercises at home can help to improve fitness. For example, you can lie down on your back and rotate both your legs in cycling like movement. You can rest one leg on the floor and take the other leg upto 45 degrees, hold it for a minute and bring it back. Repeat the process with the other leg.
You can also install the cardio machine at home and work out on it.
Aerobic exercises and dancing will also add to your fitness.
