Diet related Disorders
People try to earn so much so as to lead a good and comfy life. As per the latest trends, people have spent maximum to fulfill their food related choices but has anyone given a thought to the fact that what will happen if the same food becomes a problem due to various reasons. If anyone doesn’t eat food or eats too much above the normal capacity than it should be understood that the person is suffering from some type of dieting disorder.
What is meant by dieting disorder?
Unusual habits of eating in which a person eats less or more than normal diet is known as dieting disorder. Person suffering from this category of disorder remains extremely worried about the weight and shape of the body. Eating disorder is generally found in teenage girls and ladies but can also be found in small kids, mentally challenged people and even in average person. It is rarely seen in male population.
Types of dieting disorder
Normally, dieting disorder is of three types. They are anorexia, bulimia and binge dieting. In anorexia, people keep themselves starved off food or eats very less amount of food. The best way to recognize this dieting disorder is to monitor the weight of a person. If a person is still trying to reduce weight despite having fifteen percent less weight than normal, then the person is suffering from anorexia. It is associated with nervous system.
In bulimia, patient eats frequently and more than normal but after eating food, starts vomiting. The weight of such person is much more than normal. Actually, a person from bulimia considers food as a good psychological support. There’s no control over will and therefore there’s constant consumption of food and out of guilt starts vomiting. People who possess negative thought and low confidence generally suffers from this problem.
The disorder of binge dieting is not known very widely. In this case, if a person continuously and quietly eats something or the other on a daily basis or on a set day then unknowingly he or she might be suffering from binge dieting. Usually, patient suffering from binge dieting feels guilty because of this habit and feels stressed out and majority of such people becomes obese. However, this disorder is rarely seen in people.
