Developing hygiene habits for children
Children often do not understand the importance of hygiene and how it can affect their health. It is common to see children play in mud and sand, and cover themselves in slime and dirt.Little do they understand its implications on their health. Due to this they get infections, inflammations, fever and so on.
These are the things that children do that is unhygienic
- Eating food without washing hands
- Nibbling on toys that might have lead-constituents in the pain.
- Going to bed directly after a session of playing.
- Hating to have to bath. Avoiding it at any cost.
- Keeping anything and everything close to the mouth region or in the mouth itself.
- Nibbling at uncut nails
- Bad bowel habits
- Lack of dental care
- Bad hair care
How you can change your kids to take up good hygienic habits…
- Get them to forcefully do things initially. Be strict and disciplinary
- Educate them about diseases and infections
- Hand hold them through the various hygienic activities
- Give them appreciation and encouragement to take on good hygienic habits
