Causes of Headache
Headache could be of a kind that is shooting and splitting or sometimes it could be a slow persistent headache that just doesn’t cease. Headache could be caused due to migraine problem or due to exposure to some events or conditions that trigger the headache.
One of the common reasons for headache is exposure to harsh sunlight. Going out during afternoon when the sun is up and the temperatures are soaring, may lead to headache if you do not exercise caution like using a cap, scarf or umbrella for preventing direct contact.
Exposure to light can also provoke headache. For example, if you are sitting in a room that is dimly lit and you have to strain your eyes to read, or if the room is very bright in a way that the eyes are really feeling the glare. Initially the eyes may develop irritation or pain and slowly you may develop headache too.
Headache can occur also due to the kind of environment you are in. For example, if you have been travelling and there is a lot of noise and honking on the streets you may develop headache.
Most people get disturbed by loud noises. By listening to loud music, or if there is television playing the whole day, if there is constant chattering and noises, some of us may develop a headache.
Particular kinds of music like say heavy metal, rock, music with a lot of beats may give rise to headache.
It may be a result of lack of adequate sleep or rest. If you have compromised on your sleeping hours, sleep late at night and wake up early in the morning, it creates stress. This stress may culminate into headache.
Poor diet is known to cause headache too. If you haven’t eaten anything or had to skip meals for any reason, headache may develop. It is also caused due to acidity, wherein a person who doesn’t eat anything at suitable time intervals develops acidity and may experience shooting headache and nausea feeling. The headache may cease only after the acids are released after throwing up.
Stress, tension, worrying, anxiety also lead to headache.
