People often eat high calorie food whenever they are in stress, thereby further increasing it. You can beat your stress by eating healthy food also.

Banana is considered as an excellent source of potassium and carbohydrates. Carbohydrates calm down the body. Actually, they manufacture special type of neurotransmitter called serotonin that provides a soothing sensation to the body. Due to scarcity of potassium in the body, a person might feel weakness, low blood sugar or uneasiness in breathing that tends to increase in situation of stress. Potassium is necessary in keeping the muscles of heart in good shape.

To keep stress at bay, one must eat at least two bananas in a day. For more effective result, take complex carbohydrates. You will find it in pasta, potato, beans, lentil and spaghetti.

Researches on finger millet show that finger millet is a good source of calcium that is useful in reducing anxiety and irritability. It also controls the symptoms of pre-menstrual stress.

Apple is loaded with iron and phosphorus which reduces oxidative stress. In this way, it increases the process of manufacturing of cells which slows down due to stress. It means that if age starts showing its effect on skin then apple will stop it by making healthy skin and hair tissues. It is advisable to eat two apples and prefer to have raw apple in place of consuming apple juice for the reason that in juice all the fiber content gets finished. But remember that apple should not be eaten empty stomach as it can upset your stomach.

Gooseberry is well utilized in the medicinal system of ayurveda. One of its benefits is that it finishes each and every harmful effects of stress. A lot of Vitamin C is derived from gooseberry which prevents capillary walls from getting stiff. In fact, the foremost symptom of stress is thickening and stiffness of blood vessels and capillaries. Dried form of gooseberry can be taken easily.

Oats is full of soluble fiber which by reducing the level of cholesterol prevents the risk of heart disease. Oats also contains phytochemicals which regulates digestive system and blood sugar. Eat three big spoons of oats in a day.

Camomile is used in controlling stress and over-concern. It has also come to light that it can be utilized in diminishing the effects of asthma. In addition to this, camomile is effective in cases of cramps, digestive problems and nervous disorder.
